Family Meal
Wednesday evenings during each school semester families, youth, and children come to the Fellowship Hall for a family dinner. Following the dinner pre-school children to grade 12 participate in the Live Big – Believe in God program.
Live BIG – Believe in God Program
Pre-school children engage in praise and worship by video presentation. Older groups engage in Bible study, fellowship, storytelling, and community service such as Souper Bowl of Caring to raise money for the Manna Pantry. Mission activities include a 30 Hour Famine to experience hunger and raise money for World Hunger. Other fun and fellowship activities include trips to Frontier City, a summer rummage sale, swimming, and cook-outs.
Summer Camp: June – July
Summer Camps are held from mid-June through July: Discovery Camp (grades 2 &3), Junior Camp (Grades 4 & 5), Kairos Camp (Grades 4-8), Chi Rho Camp (Grades 6-8), and Christian Youth Fellowship Conference (Grades 9-12).
Connecting the Youth Ministry to the Whole Congregation
Junior deacons (grades 6-12) serve in active roles to serve communion, receive offerings, read Bible scripture in the Worship Service, develop leadership by encouraging youth in the fulfillment of faith responsibilities, and participate in congregational worship.
Children are also encouraged to participate in the Sunday Worship Service by lighting candles, handing out worship bulletins, and bringing communion elements to the table prior to worship service.
